- 150 g chicken breast
- 50 g red pepper julienne
- 50 g yellow pepper julienne
- 50 g onion julienne
- 1 clove garlic chopped
- 1 sprig coriander chopped
- 50 g cheddar cheese grated
- 1 red chili pepper
- salt,black pepper
- 2 tortilla
fajita seasoning
- 2 g cayenne pepper
- 1 g garlic powder
- 1 g cumin powder
- 1 g paprika
- 3 g salt
- 2 g granulated sugar
- 1 g black pepper
Slice the chicken into julienne strips and sauté over high heat until cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, sauté the onions and garlic, then add the bell peppers. Cook until they soften.
Season the mixture with fajita spices.
Place all the ingredients onto the tortilla, add fresh cilantro and cheddar cheese, then cover with another tortilla.
Toast in the pan, flipping to ensure both sides are golden brown.
Slice into pizza-style wedges and serve hot.
Melt the Cheese for Better Binding
A good layer of melted cheese acts as a glue to hold everything together. Make sure it melts properly before flipping.
Experiment with Toppings
Serve with salsa, guacamole, sour cream, or even a drizzle of lime for extra flavor.
Use High Heat for Sautéing
Cooking the chicken and vegetables on high heat helps retain their texture and enhances the flavors with a slight char.
Don’t Overfill the Tortilla
Adding too much filling can make flipping difficult and cause the quesadilla to fall apart. Keep it balanced.
